Why we recommend it: The striped lighthouse near the port is a local sunset spot with views of the bay and Isla Mujeres, surrounded by fishing boats and seafood restaurants. The neighborhood was selected as the Mexican Caribbean’s first Magical Neighborhood.

Why we recommend it: Coco Bongo combines acrobats, impersonators and Broadway-style numbers with an open bar and dancing late into the night. Guests must be 18 or older with ID, and the show runs about three hours.
