Malecón Tajamar: the lagoon-front walkway near Avenida Bonampak, where most of the new condo towers downtown have gone up, with lagoon and Hotel Zone views.

Private hospitals, including Hospital Galenia on Avenida Tulum, Hospiten on Avenida Bonampak and Amerimed, are within a short drive of most of downtown. Plaza Las Américas, Costco and the big grocery chains cover daily shopping, and Mercado 28 and Mercado 23 sell crafts and fresh produce. Buses run along Avenida Tulum to the Hotel Zone all day.
