Things to Do in Isla Mujeres

Life on Isla Mujeres revolves around the water, with reef snorkeling and diving a short boat ride from town and a whale shark season that runs from mid May to mid September. Steady winter winds bring kitesurfing to the north shore, and sailing and charter boats leave from island docks. On land, most residents get around by golf cart, and a loop of the island takes only an hour or two.
