Karina D. Sayed is the founder, owner and broker of Playa Realtors, a boutique real estate brokerage she opened in Playa del Carmen in 2008. She has lived in the Riviera Maya since 2001 and has spent twenty years helping international buyers and sellers make sound decisions in Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and across Quintana Roo.

Many agencies in the Riviera Maya earn most of their income from developers. Karina built Playa Realtors on a different model: when a client hires us to buy, we represent the buyer, never the developer. Before real estate, Karina qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at the University of Buenos Aires. That background shapes how she works. She reads every purchase through its numbers and its paperwork: the real market value, closing costs of 7 to 10% of the purchase price, maintenance fees, the condition of the building and the documents behind the title. Buyers from the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe rely on that discipline to avoid expensive mistakes.
