I wholeheartedly recommend Playa Realtors to anyone looking to buy a property in the Riviera Maya. I was lucky to work mainly with Laura, who was wonderful from the very beginning.
What I appreciated most was that she never made me feel like just another client. She took her job very seriously, but it felt more like having a friend showing me around and helping me choose a place she would recommend if she were in my shoes. She and the team took my son and me to see many different options, always giving us honest advice and never putting any pressure on us.
I also really appreciated that Laura’s boss and other colleagues were always ready to step in with additional information or advice whenever needed. Since I was buying a property as a non-Mexican, and in an area subject to Mexico’s special rules for foreign (Austrian) property ownership, having people who could guide me through the whole process was extremely valuable.
After looking at many possibilities, I finally found my beautiful apartment in Playa del Carmen, just 400 metres from the beach, in a lovely complex with a rooftop terrace and a big swimming pool.
I’m genuinely grateful to Laura and the whole Playa Realtors team. They were professional, knowledgeable and, above all, genuinely interested in helping me find the right place. I felt very well taken care of throughout the whole process, and that made buying a property in Mexico so much easier.

We simply do not have enough words to express how thankful we are to Playa Realtors, or how highly we recommend them.
Buying a home was a huge step for us. It was our very first property purchase, and we honestly had no idea what to expect. Before finding Playa Realtors, we met with several different agencies, but we never quite felt comfortable with how the process was presented or how those meetings were handled.
Then we discovered Playa Realtors and connected with Barbara, and from that very first conversation, everything just felt right. We immediately felt safe, comfortable and confident in their hands, and knew without a doubt that they were the team we wanted to work with.
My husband and I both speak Spanish, but as I am originally from England, it was incredibly important to us to have an English-speaking agent so that my family could be fully involved in the process. Vanessa was absolutely perfect for us. Not only is she completely bilingual and incredibly knowledgeable, but she genuinely goes above and beyond for her clients. She is warm, friendly, patient and has a wonderful sense of humour, which made what could have been an extremely stressful experience so much more enjoyable. We have become so fond of her throughout this journey, and we truly hope she will allow us the honour of remaining friends.
Buying a property is stressful at the best of times, but for us, the stakes felt particularly high. We were investing our entire life savings while simultaneously moving our home and our business. Lic. René was there for us every step of the way, carefully explaining every document, answering our seemingly endless list of questions and making sure that no stone was left unturned. His knowledge, patience and calm approach gave us an enormous sense of reassurance. Without him, we would probably have been nervous wrecks, but he somehow managed to keep us calm, informed and collected throughout the entire process. We are incredibly grateful for that.
From our very first conversation to the closing and even after the sale, Playa Realtors have been there for us. Their support did not end when the paperwork was signed — they have continued to help and guide us whenever we have needed them.

If I could give Valeria more than five stars, I would.
We have worked with many professionals across many different industries over the years, and I can genuinely say that Valeria is one of the kindest, most patient, honest, and caring people we have ever had the pleasure of working with.
From the very beginning, she was incredible. She showed us countless properties, answered every question, gave us all the time we needed, and never once made us feel pressured into making a decision. There was never any feeling of being “sold” something. She simply wanted to help us find the right property, and her patience throughout the entire process was exceptional.
What truly sets Valeria apart, though, is what happened AFTER the sale was already completed.
At that point, her job was technically finished, but she continued helping us as though we were still her most important clients. When we had problems dealing with the electricity bill, she stepped in and solved the issue for us. When we later had problems transferring the internet service, she once again took the time to help us get everything sorted out.
These were things that had nothing to do with completing the sale. There was nothing left for her to gain from helping us, yet she continued giving us her time, patience, and support simply because that is the kind of person she is.
That says everything about Valeria.
We were honestly blown away by how far above and beyond she went for us, not once, but consistently throughout the entire experience. Her level of service is extraordinary, but even more important than that, she is simply an exceptionally good person.
And now that everything is complete, we could not be happier with the property we purchased. It is absolutely beautiful, and the more time we spend with it, the happier we are with the decision. Valeria made an incredible recommendation, and we are genuinely so grateful that we listened to her guidance. She helped us find a place that we truly love.
If you are buying or selling real estate in Playa del Carmen, I cannot imagine recommending anyone more highly. In our eyes, Valeria should be the first person you call. If she worked where we live, I would hire her again without hesitation for any future real estate transaction.
Thank you, Valeria, for everything you did for us, both before and long after the deal was completed. You made what could have been a stressful experience feel comfortable from beginning to end, and we will never forget how much you helped us.
