      Quintana Roo and specifically, Tulum, have a coastal corridor of more than 140 kilometers located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea. It is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world, and is one of the favorite destinations worldwide.

      It is very difficult to find other destinations with the enormous number of tourist attractions, great archaeological, gastronomic, wellness and more. Given this, we present 15 must-see attractions in Tulum.

      1. Visit the Tulum National Park, the archaeological zone and the pyramids. Undoubtedly, one of the most important archaeological zones worldwide is the Tulum National Park, Quintana Roo, which has an area of 665 hectares. The Mayans, as one of the most advanced civilizations that humanity gave, in this space shows one of the most amazing advances in history: the construction of an observatory, proof of the advanced culture that created the number zero.
      2. Tulum, without a doubt, offers other natural attractions, among which it stands out having one of the largest reefs in the world, and in fact, it is the second largest.       3. Be surprised by the Sian Ka’an reserve, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Sian Ka’an in Mayan means “gateway to heaven” or “place where heaven begins” and thank you its biodiversity is considered a paradise on earth. Sian Ka’an is a virgin town and has a large species of flora and fauna that needs and must be preserved, such as jaguars, pumas, turtles, all four of which are endangered, monkeys, manatees, as well as numerous birds and crocodiles. Here, migratory birds usually use a space to feed and rest during their journey.
      4. Get closer to the magic of Cobá, whose meaning is “chopped water”, since it is located near five lakes that made it easier for this city to prosper. It is not as well known as Tulum, but it has Mayan vestiges hidden under the jungle, which makes this experience even more magical. Archeology specialists estimate that there are at least 5,000 possible remains yet to be discovered, and due to factors such as its location, they indicate that this place could have been one of the most important Mayan cities.
      5. Immerse yourself into the cenotes. Cenote Dos Ojos is one of the most famous in Tulum thanks to its extensive underground river system. Considered one of the best places to explore underwater caverns practicing cave diving, because its crystal clear waters allow you not to miss a single detail of its incredible rock formations. As a curious fact, it gets its name because looking at it from above you can see “two eyes” in its openings.

      Take a look at the Gran Cenote. Just 4 kilometers from Tulum, on the same road that takes you to the archaeological zone of Cobá. A visit to this cenote allows you to explore its caverns, as well as an outdoor part where you can swim. One part maintains its dome shape and the other is a large entrance where you can appreciate the daylight and the Mayan jungle, which is why it stands out as a favorite site.
